The Role: Client Relationship Manager

Renumeration: 26-30k

Location: PayProp have adopted a distributed working model and as such this role will be home based however will require regular travel to head office in Sevenoaks.

In this role, we are looking for passionate, solution-driven individuals to support our fast-growing client base. The role involves collaboration with the cross-functional internal teams (Client Services, Sales, Marketing & Design, Compliance & Finance and Product Development) in an effort to continuously improve the overall customer experience. The main objective is to; build and preserve trusting relationships with our client base. Ultimately, a successful ‘Client Relationship Manager’ should keep our clients satisfied and engaged with our product and service.

  • To build strong positive long-term relationships with clients
  • Troubleshooting technical support queries in line with company KPI’s / deliverables
  • Investigate and solve customer concerns and complaints
  • Proactive account management
  • Support clients to adhere to contract terms
  • Collate client feedback in order to devise solutions
  • Close collaboration with other departments to build strategies to improve client satisfaction
  • Inform clients about new features  
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on service and industry
  • Continuously strive to set a new standard in customer excellence


*Other Ad hoc duties pertaining to customer excellence as required


Required skills and experience:


  • Proven experience working as a client relationship manager (2 years +)
  • First class communication, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office with working knowledge of CRM platforms
  • Natural ability to build rapport and trust
  • Outstanding problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • An outgoing and adaptable approach
  • Influencer – You should be able to respectfully challenge and direct the customer in their best interest
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to remain calm and deliver results in a dynamic and sometimes-pressurised environment
  • Sound organisational skills
  • Passion and enthusiasm for a customer-centric approach
